Energy Center
The Traverse Wind Energy Center has boosted the local economy of Custer and Blaine Counties and created jobs, all while generating clean, American-made energy. This project provides enough sustainable energy to power 300,000 American homes.
This 998 MW wind project is located on private land north of Weatherford.
Generation capacity totaling 998 megawatts.
Enough electricity to power more than 300,000 American homes annually.
33 full-time operations and maintenance staff.
More than 400 jobs supported during construction.
More than $1.2 billion in capital investments in local communities.
